Fairly priced, cozy and chill hostel

Very cozy and clean hostel. The breakfast is decent and the cat is very cute. The people working there are expectionally kind :) You get your moneys worth and I would definitely come back again!

The 10 people dorm is actually a 20 people dorm (2 stories connected by stairs) and with that comes not the most silent atmosphere in the room (still okay but could be hard for light sleepers). Moreover, the air gets quite thick over the night and the curtains dont close over the full length of the bed.

Cute hostel, great beds and amazing staff!

Super cute hostel! It has the comfiest dorm beds i’ve ever slept in. There were people in the lobby most nights I was there which was fun. The staff was super helpful with recommending places to get food and gave me good advice about my itinerary for Taitung.

I wish the curtains in the bed provided total privacy but the cover 80% which is better than nothing!

I really found a piece of home here. The staff is super friendly, and made sure I had a new, different place to eat everyday. I am grateful for the conversations with Sarah, and the little attentions from Didi. And fun times with the cat Audi! The hostel is nicely located near the bus station and 7-11/family mart nearby, and lots of good food. It's really clean and there is parking space for scooters, and an inner yard for your bicycle.

Ideal hostel near Taitung train station!

Typical Hostel, kind staff - one english speaking staffer was very helpful. For a one night stay near the train station, this is both comfortable and ideal.

Kind-of complicated entry via RFID keys. Do not expect 24/7 counter-service or help after 9pm. Not a problem for me - but note a very cute cat lives onsite should one be allergic to cats.

I would stay here again!

I felt very welcomed when I arrived. I was told the best places to eat and sights to visit. The place was clean. The breakfast was fantastic. They provided fruit, toast and, cereal. It was within walking distance of the ocean. The place is close to the bus station. You can catch a bus easily from the train station to get dropped off within a few minutes of 40INN. Their cat was adorable.

The curtains on the beds only covered part of the bed.

Perfect for a short stay

The place was cute and tidy. Good quality/price and very helpful staff. We stayed only one night and it was perfect. The location is excellent, just in the middle of the city with many restaurants around.

Great place, hope to come again

Very friendly and caring welcome from both the host and her helper. The breakfast was the best breakfast I've had in Taiwanese hostels, with hard boiled eggs, cheese, chocolate spread, cereals and fruit. Nothing super fancy, but it hit the spot and it was very nicely laid out. Perfect. Bunk beds have individual lights and sockets, showers and facilities are clean. Beds (perhaps on the soft side by my taste) have partial curtains for some privacy and fluffy, but very synthetic and statically charged blankets. Location perfect. Paid approx 590TWD/night and thought it good value.

I think that next time they overhaul the beds, they should add a little shelf (just for glasses and the like) and improve the individual curtains so they go all around.. The showers could use more/newer hooks and shelves. But these are minor points, I would definitely stay there again.
